Real preserved mushroom and moss terrarium double-flared ear plugs
PLEASE NOTE: These are currently made to order so please check back often to see if inventory slots are open. If the size is sold out, I will most likely make more the following week****
These plugs contain a mini terrarium of real mushrooms, mosses, ferns and a tiny snail shell. Each one is unique and an amazing little piece to wear for all those forest dwellers and nature lovers.
They are 14mm thick and double flared.
Choose your size and pair. Please contact me if you only want a single plug.
The 10mm, 12mm and 14mm do not contain shells due to size restraint.

My pieces are all handmade by me and inspected for quality and composition. That being said, due to the nature of working with natural materials and resin, minor bubbles or slightly uneven textures may occur. I use all natural materials and some of them may have imperfections or slightly vary in color than what shows up on the computer or phone screen.
Natural materials used in the pieces are completely dried before being preserved in resin and no pieces contain water.
A note on toxicity
The chemistry of the exothermic reaction of epoxy resin polymerization ensures that the curing process creates molecular chains that are fully closed, rendering the resulting hardened resin as inert as silicone. I take full precautions to measure my ratios to the 0.00 weight, I de-gas my mixture and never pour layers thicker than the suggested width determined by the manufacturer. Additionally, I never use solvents like alcohol inks, which can affect the integrity of a cure.
The resin I use, once cured, is resistant to water, acids and solvents, and there is no solvent emanation.
Resin is toxic if ingested in the liquid forms. There are also many different kinds of resins available, so it is important to know which type is used for body jewellery. I am not an expert on body modification, so please consult a professional for any questions on using new jewellery on 'active' stretching.
***Of course, with any material, allergic reactions can happen and anyone with body jewellery should test what they are putting on/in their body. Nothing is ever 100% perfect and pure for everyone. It is not the artisan's responsibility if any reaction or injury occurs.
Care tips for resin pieces:
Resin is durable and waterproof, but multiple drops, scratches or mistreatment (like any jewelry) can lead to damage. I recommend removing jewelry before swimming or showering.
Do not store resin pieces in prolonged sunlight. The resin has UV protection as part of its chemical makeup but natural materials can something react unpredictably, as nature inherently does :)
If you would like to clean your resin piece, I find using a drop of thin vegetable oil on a soft cloth and gently buffing works quite well.
